Transparency International ranks Russia 119th in corruption index

MOSCOW, Jan 27 (PRIME) -- Russia ascended 17 positions and was ranked 119th in the Corruption Perceptions Index of Transparency International in 2015, the organization reported Wednesday.

The index grades countries on the scale between 0 and 100, where 0 means the highest possible level of corruption and 100 no corruption at all. Russia’s position last year was the best since 2012.

Azerbaijan, Sierra Leone and Guyana shared the same rating with Russia in 2015.
